The Auerfarm’s annual fundraiser, Party in Plaid Farm to Table Dinner & Auction was held on Friday, June 24 from 6pm-9pm and it exceeded our expectations! From the pristine weather, the savory Farm to Table dinner, to filling every single pavilion seat with some of ‘Auer’ friends. It was a very special night to cultivate and reignite lasting relationships with families, new friends, community members, and business leaders.
The 2022 Party in Plaid Farm-To-Table event theme was to engage our supporters to be ‘Auer Soil Mate’. Auerfarm asked our community for their help to invest in our planet and Auerfarm by helping to combat climate change with healthy soil – thank you for stepping up and becoming Auer Soil Mates.
Why is your involvement important to Auerfarm? As a non-profit organization for the past 46 years, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you to continue our vital educational work.
We cannot do what we do without your help and you make an enormous difference in the lives of many, we are so grateful for you, thank you! Together, we connected and found common ground in making a difference locally and globally.

The Farm, the Food, the Fun…
The Party in Plaid event featured a Farm-To-Table four-course meal prepared by Onyx Elite LLC. and led by the talented owner, Drew M. Angelo.
Take a look at the delicious Party in Plaid menu, which received rave reviews. Drew continues his partnership with Auerfarm with the event as well as serving as the summer culinary chef consultant for the Growing Opportunities (GO) Food Service program for its second year. The GO program is a workforce preparation program for special needs young adults. The all-year program focuses on workforce training in food service, hospitality, facilities management, and agriculture.

As we strive to combat climate change, provide clean, nutrient dense food to everyone and protect our natural resources we have numerous tools at our disposal. Soil is one of them and Auerfarm is acutely aware that the world that exists under our feet can serve as the catalyst for our endeavors. From sequestering carbon, retaining water, regenerative pastures, producing nutrient dense food and increasing microbiomes the soil can save us. If we produce healthy soils, together, we will create a healthy planet and healthier people.
Additionally, if you are looking for an insightful and informational documentary to watch over the long holiday weekend, watch the Kiss the Ground. The documentary supports awareness of the importance of soil education and advocacy efforts – because global scientists believe the world could have as few as 60 annual harvests left before the soil is unusable for planting. Together, we learn how healthy soil and environmental science combates climate change and how supporting Auerfarm can empower & educate generations to come with farm-based environmental education.
