GO School Year

Our Growing Opportunities (GO) programming runs during the school year in collaboration with Local Educational Agencies and community organizations. Students enrolled in transition programs engage in our industry-aligned curriculum through authentic, outdoor worksite experiences that build real-world workforce skills. These hands-on opportunities are supported by targeted assessments and lessons designed to prepare students for life beyond public school.
Aligned with Governor Ned Lamont’s commitment to expanding access and opportunity, GO helps cultivate Connecticut’s skilled workforce—while empowering students with purpose and independence.
Ask your school district about existing partnerships or contact us directly to explore collaboration. We’re always excited to connect with new teams!
Be A GO Mentor
Our programming works best when our students work alongside neurotypical peer models. This inclusive model fosters the soft skills necessary for almost any job: teamwork, communication, problem solving, and social skill development. The success of our summer GO and April Vacation GO! programming lives in large part with the connections our GO students make with their peer mentors. Thank to our funders, we have been able to pay our peer mentors, making this a great summer job for highschool juniors, senrions, and students in their young twenties. Pending our grant approvals for this summer, this paid-mentor model will continue in for summer 2025! Please click here to be directed to our Mentor Flyer and QR code to apply!
