Welcome to Auercamp

Auercamp provides immersive, hands-on learning experiences on our 120-acre farm, fostering curiosity, creativity, and connection to the natural world. Through engaging activities in agriculture, environmental education, and outdoor recreation, we empower individuals to develop confidence, resilience, and a deep respect for the environment.

WHAT WE DO

Each day our campers spend as much time as possible outdoors in the barns, gardens, play forest, stream, trails, fields, and more.

Auercamp follows a S.T.E.A.M. curriculum and focuses on exploring science, the arts, and nature while incorporating typical day camp elements such as sports, games, and expressive arts.

Below are some favorite activities though there are many more programs to enjoy at Auercamp!

Auercamp at a Glance

Read below to learn how age groups are divided and to view a typical camp day.

Sprouts, Ages 3-5

The Sprouts Camp is a half-day program for ages 3-5 from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM. The sprouts participate in farm-based activities such as engaging with farm animals, gardening, and exploring nature as well as art projects, hayrides, cooking, and games!

Young Farmers, Grades K – 5

The Young Farmers group is for campers entering grades K-5. This gets broken down into 5 age groups: Peas, Carrots, Melons, Beets, and Berries, organized by birthdate. Each day we are outside as much as possible, exploring all aspects of the farm’s fields, gardens, barns, and woods. Daily activities might include art projects, songs, gardening, time with farm animals, nature walks, hayrides, cooking, science experiments, fort building

Explorers, Grades 6 – 8

The Farm Explorers group is for children entering grades 6-8. Farm explorers frequently hike around the farm and engage in more complex farm and nature activities such as fort building, making fires, and learning survival skills.

Leadership, Grades 9 – 10

The Leadership program is a unique opportunity for 9th & 10th-grade campers to develop communication, critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills.

MEET THE TEAM

A DEDICATED TEAM OF CAMP PEOPLE FOR CAMP PEOPLE

Former campers, leadership teens, and now directors.

Jonni Marshall
Jonni MarshallCamp Director
Joining the Auerfarm team in 2019, Jonni grew the camp program from a week-long, half-day preschool program to a seven-week-long operation including am & pm care for ages 3-15. Believing in the S.T.E.A.M curriculum Jonni aims to connect children to our most expansive classroom, the environment.
Chiki Santillan
Chiki SantillanAsst. Camp Director
Chiki grew up at camp. She learned to play, climb, wonder, and shout in the swimming pools, archery ranges, and rock climbing walls of the YMCA. She found community in her counselors, fellow campers, and directors. Now, Chiki aims to provide the same opportunities to other children here at Auercamp.
Hayley Yaros
Hayley YarosAsst. Camp Director, Registrar
As Jonni Marshall’s former camper, Hayley grew a love for outdoor education. You’ll find Hayley in the gardens teaching plant identification, or on the bog walk pointing out signs of wildlife. From camper to leadership teen, to now director Hayley understands the transformative power of camp.
